What is the MEE Plant?

MEE Plant full form is Multi Effect Evaporator Plant. Here more than one (as per demand) body connected in series form, MEE Plant use for simple evaporation and extraction purpose like liquid to solid extraction etc.







Why we use MEE Plant?

We used MEE Plant to increase the efficiency of the process. We want to use the maximum energy of heating medium so we connect the evaporators in series. We give the heat for first evaporator and heat up for feed material when first body material be vaporised then we used this vapours in second body as a heating medium and we follow same processor in next evaporators.

So, we find that we gave the heat one time and evaporation process occur more times, then cost of process is low.

How to use MEE Plant?

MEE Plant operation is very simple. We can use this evaporation process at atmospheric pressure and under vacuum. If we use this process under vacuum, first we take the vacuum is system after that we feed the liquid material in the evaporators and we start the heat up to the material when material start vaporised in the first body then these vapours go in the second body heating section and vapours give the heat for second body material and condense themselves.

The condense material is called finial material

What are problems in MEE Plant?

Here we narrate only for major problems.

For the heating in evaporator, we use coil type heat exchanger or plate type heat exchanger. After some time, scale develops on the heat exchanger and heat transfer phenomena slow down. In this situation efficiency of MEE plants decreases.

How to solve the problem?

We must to remove the scale of heat exchanger for proper heating.

So, we can use two major technics

1- Chemical Cleaning: 

In Chemical Cleaning, we use many types acids like sulfonic acid, Nitric acid, Phosphoric acid etc. and can be use other chemical for dissolve the scale.

2- Physical Cleaning: 

In this cleaning, we clean the heat exchangers by hand and we can also use of Hydro jet
